Are we all looking forward to the open on sat,should be a good match a few lads from the other club i fish with are coming over from liverpool an i was speaking to alan price an shane sat an there both coming, pete corker's missus wont let him fish because he goes to the world champs in france on sunday. does any one no how its fishing.

We usually get good support from the scouse lads and a few of the South Wales matchmen come up for it as well.

There should be plenty of Dogs and Whiting, as well as the chance of something better. There have been Huss and a double figure Thornie weighed in the last few years, and there seem to be plenty of Huss coming to the boats fishing in Llandudno Bay, so i wouldnt be surprised to see a few.

Bring plenty of money for the raffle everyone!

Guess who managed to fluke the only flatfish of the match.

00.07.08 for £40, thats over £80 per pound!

Its the first match ive enjoyed in a while, looking forward to Pwllheli next weekend now!

well done kev,think your old man brought that in a flask from talacre i didnt do much better 1dog an a few whiting didnt bother to weigh in an was gutted coz dog was a cracker well over 2lb prob would of taken biggest round. cracking turnout an nice weather.

I also didnt bother weighing in! after having two mackrel on the first two chucks and then several undersize whiting during the match i only managed one in size whiting with 45 minutes to go! so i decided to release it and let it fight another day! i was gutted as the lad to my left had atleast 5 dogs and a couple of whiting!!! god knows what i was doing wrong as i was smacking it out and using sandeel, rag and mackrel the same as him! I also fished Crab and rag for the first hour in search of a flattie without as much as a nibble!

Beautifull night, good bait bloody good fisherman but only 3 dogs to my name!!!! Hey it got me out of the house and as far away from match of the day and all u scouse supportsers as possible ! How did i get on in the raffel Kev????
