61 anglers fished Colwyn Bay Victoria sea angling clubs Victoria Open last Saturday at Llandudno North Shore.
Dogfish and Whiting made up the majority of the bags brought to the scales, with Nev Charlesworth taking top spot on the night with a bag of 18 Dogfish and 2 Whiting for a weight of 30-03-08lbs.
Second place went to Ian Brookes, also with a bag of Dogfish and Whiting for a weight of 25-07-04lbs, and Jody Lemin was third with 25-03-12lbs.
The zone winners prizes went to the best weight from each zone that didn’t feature in the top 3 placings and they were Billy McLintock in A zone with 16-09-00, George Smith in B zone with 21-12-12 and Shane Russell in C zone with 24-07-10.
The second place zone prizes went to Dave Cave in A zone with 16-04-00, Pete Corker in B zone with 18-10-00 and D Shorthouse in C zone with 17-11-04.
The junior prize winner was Reece Jones with a Dogfish and a Whiting for a weight of 02-06-04.
The heaviest fish was a Dogfish weighing 02-10-12 which was part of the match winning bag By Nev Charlesworth and there were no flatfish weighed in so the prize was drawn for.
The clubs next open competition will be the Fur and Feather Open, which will be held at North Shore on 1/12/12, fishing from 19-30 until 23-30. Booking in will be at the paddling pool from 17-30.
