A record low turnout for a local match this time, just 8 anglers. On the positive side though, it was a very productive evening, with some good sized flounders, plaice, eels and dabs caught, and we all weighed in.
Dave Lunt thrashed us all with 7 flounders, 3 plaice and an eel from Greenfield for 5.77 kgs. Two of his plaice were specimen size, with the better one taking the heaviest fish prize. They weighed in at 2-02-12 and 2-05-12 lbs.
Dave Mitchell took 2nd with 8 flounders and 8 eels from Flint for a weight of 4.15 kgs.
Dave Jones was 3rd with 6 flounders and an eel from the Funship area, and Mike Peters took the last of the ( petty ) cash with 7 smaller flounders, 6 dabs and a plaice from Greenfield for 3.43 kgs.
Top team were Dave and Mike with73 points and the golden card rolls over to £188 for the next match.
