13 members fished this one, on a calm cold evening and 2 hours of the ebb to start. There were just a few odd fish around at the beginning, but things improved around low water and the start of the flood. Plenty of dabs and some decent whiting, with a couple of pound plus flounders were weighed in, though a lot more of the dabs were under size.
Dave Roberts was prevented from making it 3 wins on the trot by his son Jordan by a margin of a mere 10 grammes. 5 dabs and 4 whiting for 1.76 for Jordan and 6 dabs and 2 whiting for 1.75 for Dave. John Jones was 3rd with 7 smaller dabs and 2 whiting for 1.61, and Dave Radcliffe 4th, with 6 dabs and 2 whiting for 1,52
Barry Haigh and Norman Dorling had the 2 flounders, with Norman`s taking the heaviest fish prize at 0.51 kgs.
Top team were obviously Jordan and Dave with 73 points.
Norman had a surprise with a gift from Dave and Jordan for his forthcoming 80th birthday next week.
