Only 9 members again on a quite pleasant evening with a venue on form at this time of the year, as the results will prove.
We started in daylight 2 hours before low water, and started catching from the off. Although there were a lot of undersize fish around, there were some cracking whiting as well, we all caught whiting and dabs, with a few flounders and just one in-size codling.
Mike Peters retained his lead in the league with another win, 18 whiting and 10 dabs for a weight of 6.30 kgs. Norman Dorling was 2nd with 14 whiting, 3 dabs and a flounder for 4.67, Gary Bates was 3rd with 4.21, Barry Haigh 4th with 4.01, Dave Jones 5th with 3.36, and Bill McLintock 6th with 2.80.
Dave Lunt had the heaviest fish, a codling of 0.54 ( 1-03-00 lbs. )
Norman nearly matched that with his best whiting at 40 cms and 1-01-08 lbs.
top team were Norman and myself with 69 points and the golden card rolls over again to £238.
