5 Boats fished the first leg of the summer league last Sun, 1 of which, are new members (seawitch) welcome along guys.
After a long winter we were all hoping for a decent forecast to get out to sea but it didn’t happen and we ended up in the straits.
The weather stayed dry all day but it was pretty chilly in the keen wind.
The fishing was dire, there were a few dogs around, small pouting, small codling and whiting, a lone huss and a lone flounder.
All the boats struggled but it was good to get out and blow the cobwebs off, hopefully it’ll pick up over the next few weeks.
Lady M took the honours with 4 species, 07.03.08lb, 32 points
Goldilocks were 2nd with 2 species, 02.08.04, 25 points
Bass Hunter were 3rd with 2 species, 01.12.12lb, 23 points
O2b@c were 4th with 1 species, 02.00.04 lb, 21 points
Seawitch were 5th with 1 species, 01.08.04lb, 19 points
Heaviest round fish went to Lady M with a Huss of 03.01.12lb
Heaviest flat fish went to Lady M with a Flounder of 01.03.05
