It was hectic down the point this afternoon, with 6 anglers fishing 9 rods between them.
There was no wind, but with snow on the mountains, and fishing in the shade of the sea wall it was a little chilly at times.
Things started well, with a small Codling kicking off my species list for 2010 on my second cast.
Tony and Terry were fishing either side of me, and were having some success with the Dabs. I couldnt buy one.
Tony let me play with one of his new toys, which i promptly birdied
This combined with losing one of his weights in the rocks yesterday means my belated new years resolution is not to play with the other boys toys because ill only end up breaking them
Time marched on and the temperature began to drop again. Terry and Tony had caught several Dabs each but i still hadnt had one.
The decision was made to pack up at 3pm and head home. I was very happy to find this little Dablet had hung itself on my hook when i wound in for the last time.
Not a bad little session. I was happy with my Codling as it took me until October to get one last year, and it was nice to get out and blow the cobwebs away ready to hit those big Cod aboard Suveran next Saturday.
