Had a couple of hours down at Splash Point over high this evening. Terry joined me to use up the Lug we had left from the Prestatyn match and hopefully nail a specimen Dab. We had a Mackeral for tipping off too.
Conditions looked very fishy on arrival with some surf and plenty of colour in the water.
Mickfish was there when we arrived and we had a chat while we set up on the apron, to the right of the steps.
Things were hardly hectic, with most baits coming back untouched.
Finally Terry found a small slug at high water.
I was next in with a pin Whiting as the tide started to ebb.
About ¾ hour into the ebb Terry thought he had a bit. He reeled in to find a double header of another slug and a pin Whiting.
We had another cast each but decided it was time for tea when these proved fruitless.
Nice to get out and to meet Mick but a shame there weren’t more fish about.
Never mind.
Happy Days.
