| SUMMER SHORE LEAGUE 2009
MATCH 3 SAT. 9TH MAY LLANDUDNO NORTH SHORE
17 members turned out for this one, after a wet and windy afternoon the weather turned in our favour, dry and calm with a nice sunset , it almost felt like summer, just not warm enough. There were plenty of whiting around, but most were undersize, with a few dogfish showing up later as it got dark. Gary McLeod found 8 dogs and 3 whiting from in front of the paddling pool, to walk away with 1st place with a weight of 7.31 kgs. John Jones took 2nd with 6 dogs and a rockling for 4.25 kgs. from behind the houses. 3rd went to Chris Jackson with 5 dogs and 4 whiting for 3.48, and 4th to Steve Parry with 4 dogs and 2 whiting for3.42. Mike Peters was 5th with 2.80, including the heaviest fish of the match, a dog of 1.11 kgs., and 6th place was taken by Dave Mitchell with 2.60. Stephen Higginson won the junior prize with1.02 kgs. and Sue Price the ladies prize. Top team were Gary McLeod and Mike Jones with 68 points. | |

| Isnt it funny how everyone loves to hate North Shore, but after catching a few fish on a night like last night, with calm conditions and a nice sunset it seems a much better venue than it does in a North Westerly in December Here are a few photies i took with the extra time i had because Tom wasnt with me. Terry decided he would spend the first half hour going for a Bass. Mitch concentrating hard A view along the beach. Hmm, i wonder when the Dogs will make an appearance? Mitch waiting for another Dog. And lastly, a couple of comparison shots between Terrys little Huss ( on the left ) and his Dog. | |
