Just 9 members for the last match of the league, on a busy night with whiting coming in in twos and threes it was a matter of a centimetre or two that made the difference. The ones who found the most in-size were Norman Dorling, with 15 whiting, a dog and a dab, for a weight of 4.40 kgs. and the points he needed to win the league by 2 points. Myself and Barry Haigh tied for 2nd place with 3.96 kgs. each, and Dave Mitchell was 4th with 2.99.
Top team were Norman and myself with 75 points for the 2nd consecutive match, just enough to take the team competition as well.
I had the heaviest fish, a codling of 0.68 kgs. and the golden card rolls over to the winter league at £256.
