11 members fished this one, on a lovely warm evening with a flat calm sea, that may be why the fish were so hard to find ( for most of us ), the water was far too clear after a long calm spell, we were a month earlier than the last couple of years on this venue, which may have had something to do with it.
Doggies made up all the bags, with one lone flounder for Dave Jones being the only other species caught.
Mike Peters and Dave Lunt didn`t seem to be having any trouble though, Mike won with 12 dogs for 11.98 kgs. to stay top of the league, with Dave 2nd on 8 dogs for 7.80.
taking the top team spot with 71 points.
John Jones was 3rd with 6 for 5.96, including the heaviest fish at 1.02 kgs. and Bill McLintock 4th with 5 for 4.88.
This match also included the final of the K.O. cup, which Mike took in fine style, beating Mitch by quite a margin.
The `golden card ` rolls over again to £218.
