As it turned out the weather improved for the second half of the match, and everyone weighed in, some with considerably more success than others!
Barry Haigh had the lion`s share, with 17 whiting, 2 dabs, and 2 rockling for a weight of 4.68 kgs.
Paul Jones was 2nd with 18 whiting for 4.52 kgs. and John Jones 3rd with 13 for 4.07 . The rest of us were well behind, with myself in 4th place with 8 whiting for 1.78. Terry Havill 5th with 7 and a dab for 1.63, and John Major 6th with 6 for 1.36.
The heaviest round fish prize went to John Floyd with the only dog of the match at 0.59 kgs. and the heaviest flatfish prize to Barry Haigh with a dab of 0.38.
The evening was finished off with a hotpot in the clubhouse and a drink or two, plus a prize for everyone and the remainder in a well supported raffle. many thanks to all who made the effort to attend, and thanks also for the whip round for me, very much appreciated.
