23 members fished last night, on a very pleasant evening over low water on a massive tide. The whiting were there in quantity, 2 or 3 on every cast, but 25 to 26 centimetres seemed to be the size of the majority of them.
Dan Davies found 21 in size, to win the match with 4.65 kgs., John Jones was 2nd with 16 for 3.32 , Dave Mitchell 3rd with 14 and a dab for 2.81, this was the only flattie weighed in and took the heaviest flatfish prize.
Paul Jones took 4th place with 2.63 kgs, Dave Roberts 5th with 2.56, and I was 6th with 2.20. Tom Jones was top junior with 5 whiting for 1.03, and the heaviest round fish prize went to Mike Peters with a whiting of 0.33.
As usual there was a prize for every competitor, and a well supported raffle with loads of prizes.
