20 members and one guest fished on Saturday night, on a breezy but dry night with a lively surf coming in from the North. The usual hordes of whiting were there , but 25 to 26 centimetres still seems to be the size of the majority of them.
16 anglers found in-size fish to bring to the scales, with Bill McLintock top of the bunch yet again, with a bag of 3 dogs and 4 whiting for 2.93 kgs.
Darren Jones wasn`t far behind him with 3 dogs, a whiting and a rockling for 2.60.
John Jones had 6 whiting and a dog for 1.81 in 3rd place, and Dave Lunt was 4th with 3 dabs, a dog, and a whiting for 1.28. Mike Peters was 5th with 2 dabs and a dog for 1.05, and Gary Bates 6th with a dog, a whiting, and a dab for 0.91.
Jack Peters took the junior prize with a whiting of 0.17, and his dad Mike had the heaviest fish prize with a dog of 0.69 kgs.
Two teams tied on 68 points, they were John Jones and Gary Bates, and Dave Lunt and Mike Peters.
The `Golden card ` pool rolled over again and now stands at £334.
