Match 2 13/05/12 (Straits)

5 boats fished the 2nd leg of the league, another bad forecast forced us in to the straits, Strong south westerly’s were forecast, increasing as the day went on, so we launched in comfort from Menai bridge .
The day started off quite pleasant but it deteriorated before lunch time and conditions were hard going for the rest of the day.
The fishing was tough to say the least, but all the boats managed to weigh in a mixture of dogs, huss, pout, whiting, cod, ballans, goldsinney’s, and scorpions.
Lady M recorded there 1st win of the season with a total of 7 species for 5.10.00lb and a total of 40 points.
Goldilocks took 2nd place with 5 species, 06.07.00lb, and 35 points
O2b@c were 3rd with 5 species, 04.02.00 and 33 points
Jo Amm were 4th with 2 species, 01.12.00 and 23 points
Blue Moon were 5th with 1 species, 1.11.00 and 19 points

Goldilocks took the heaviest fish prize with a huss of 04.00.00lb
The flat fish pool rolls over to the next match.

we were well chuffed with 2nd place,in what were not ideal conditions,and pleased we stuck it out to the end, roll on the next match, and hope we have a good turn out and good weather, perseverance brings its results,and the matches are a great day out,with a good bunch of lads,be great to see a few more boats.
