Match 8 - Straits - 16/10/11

5 boats fished match number 8 in the straits last Sunday.

The fishing was hard for most of the boats but Lady M found it a bit easier and took the honours with a creditable 15 species.

1st Lady M 15 species, 11.12.00lb, 67 points
2nd 02b@c 9 species, 1 specimen 14.03.08lb, 50 points
3rd Jo Am 10 species, 07.03.08lb, 47 points
4th Bass hunter 9 species and 1 specimen 06.10.08lb 46 points
5th Goldilocks 4 species 07.04.08lb, 30 points

Heaviest round fish went to o2b@c with a Huss of 09.02.00lb


Heaviest flat fish went to Jo Am with a plaice of 13oz.

The next match is on 13th November and will combine the last league match and the fur and feather.

Aswell as the usual species hunt by boat format, each angler should keep their heaviest round fish and flatfish for weighing to give the fur and feather result.

The prize giving for the fur and feather and obligatory few drinks will take place at the clubhouse in December.

It was going to be the September match that was called off because the lads were getting sorted for Cork.

With the next one being the last match, and incorperating the fur and feather itll have to be next year now.
