16 members fished on Saturday evening, with everyone weighing in. When we saw how calm it was
we knew it was going to be a doggy night again, but there are usually a few other species weighed in here. This time it was just one flounder, apart from the few hundred undersize whiting ( how they manage to eat a whole sandeel baffles me.)
When the flood started the dogs started feeding, and it was hard work moving back at the speed the tide was coming in, and unhooking and rebaiting at the same time!
Mitch drew the golden card, with £218 in the kitty, on the venue where he`s won 2 of the last 3 matches, this one made it 3 out of 4!
The results were 1st Dave Mitchell with 18 dogs for 18.03 kgs. 2nd John Jones with 11 dogs for 11.03, 3rd Arwel Davies with 11 for 11.01, 4th Mike Peters with 11 for 10.74, 5th Mark Patterson with 9 for 8.90, and 6th Dave Jones with 8 for 7.96.
The heaviest fish was one of J.J.`s dogs at 1.17 kgs. and the top team were Mitch and Gary with 65 points
Congratulations to Mitch, with the 1st prize and golden card he went home with a shade over £240, we start again with a new kitty at the next match.
