Three juniors fished the second match of the CBVSAC junior league, at Deganwy.
A slight breeze, blowing up river, meant we opted to fish near the signal box again, and with the rain we had during last week, i was hopeful it may have pushed some Flounders down river into this area.
There were six rods fishing throughout the day, we tried casting long and short, and the bait used was lots of prime peeler crab. All to no avail.
The kids soon found ways of amusing themselves, and it was left to the adults to sit and watch the rods doing nothing.
There was a moment of excitement near the end, when Sara had what could have been a bite, but it didnt amount to anything.
We ended up doing a draw, for the prizes.
Many thanks to Ray for donating the first prize of a rod and reel, and a couple of sets of shrimp rigs for each angler. Watching the kids open their bags of prizes was the high point of an otherwise, very disappointing afternoon.
Roll on Llandudno Pier in August. There should be plenty of fish there!
Here are a few photos of the day.
Tom and Elliot keeping their energy levels up.
Sara decided a sandcastle was the order of the day.
With a little help from her friends, it was quite impressive by the end of the match.
Ah well, they had fun anyway
