Summer match 1. Foryd. 8/5/10.

Four juniors fished the first leg of this years Summer league at the Foryd.

The North Easterly wind had teeth, making it feel very chilly, but at least it stayed dry.

Stephen Higginson won the match with 2 Eels and a Flounder for a total length of 128cms.



Jack Peters was second with an Eel and a Flounder for 72cms.



Thomas Davies came third with a Flounder of 40cms.


Thomas Jones was fourth but failed to catch.

All the juniors missed bites but the fishing was still a little disappointing. There was a fair bit of weed in the water, perhaps the reason there were so many Swans around.


Thanks to Joker from Jokers tackle in Colwyn Bay for donating a selection of rigs and terminal tackle. This meant each of the juniors received a goody bag at the weigh in.

The next match is at Benarth on 27/6/10 fishing 3pm until 6pm.
