4th leg of the summer league took place this past weekend at pwllheli beach. With only 11 anglers turning out, we all knew it was going to be yet another tough day from the reports that had been coming in from there from the days building up to the match. And it was very tough indeed with only a couple of anglers getting more than a couple of fish In the allotted 6 hours we fished.
1st on the day was mike peters with 6 bream and a bonus eel for 119cm, 2nd was darren jones who managed 4 bream and a very welcome bonus bass of 32cm for 94cm, 3rd was paul jones who had a dab, tub gurnard, dragonet for 62cm and last of the prize winners 4th dave lunt who had 1 dogfish for 51cm.
Dave lunt also took the prize for the longest fish with a 51cm dog. There were no ladies or juniors turn up for this match.
Was a really tough day for most with very few fish, but all the divers jetski's and boats didn't help matters. Oh well on to the next match which takes place at prestatyn barkby beach on the 17th august. We are going to fit a species match in at amlwch
brea kwater for the trevor davies cup in the next few weeks so watch this space for date and times.
