PostSubject: FISHY WEEKEND   FISHY WEEKEND Empty15th June 2008, 8:11 pm

Just thought I would post a few pictures of my weekend, it all helps until hopefully we get a few more members to keep a steady flow of new reports / general chat and plenty of banter!!!

About 4.30pm Saturday afternoon I decided it was a lovely evening, so not wanting to waste it I asked the wife if she fancied a drive up the coast where we could call off and see Roger and his mother who were still on holiday in Moelfre. An hour and a quarter later after dropping the daughter off at her nan’s, the wife, the son and myself were in Moelfre.
When we arrived, Roger was already fishing below the caravan site and was already unhooking a doggie….

FISHY WEEKEND 1ROGERWITHDOG

Here’s my lad watching Rogers rod while he was baiting up….

And at the same time picking up tips……. FISHY WEEKEND 3KIETAKINGTIPSFROMROGER

It was a beautiful evening with a calm sea and it wasn’t long before Roger was into another Dog….
FISHY WEEKEND 4ROGERLANDINGDOG

During the evening Roger caught several dogs along with a few treble headers of small whiting. By now it was getting quite late so decided to leave Roger to it and made a move as we still had to drive home. Arrived home about 10.30pm after enjoying a lovely summers evening by the sea (Nothing better!!!)

Sunday (Fathers day)
Got up Sunday morning and took the lad to cricket practice, two hours later the wife drove us up to the Brenig dam for a picnic by the lake watching people fly fish from the bank and from the boats (more water and a welcome change from me having to drive!) On the way home I decided we needed a session fishing having spent the last two days watching others do it. We didn’t have enough time to sort the tackle out and head back down the coast so we settled for a couple of hours on the local pond.
Here’s my lad ……

FISHY WEEKEND 5KIERANFISHING

He seems to have developed more patience since the last time we took him out!

The weather was beautiful….

And the pond was in full bloom with water lilies

FISHY WEEKEND 8WATERLILIES

The sweet corn bait was working a treat….

Sam.
