| A bad forecast forced us into the straits for the 1st match of the summer league. Strong NE winds along with heavy rain meant we’d be able to get out but it wouldn’t be very comfortable and this proved to be the case. 5 eager boats turned up after the long winter layoff. We restricted the limits to the Bangor bridge so that meant all of the boats fished the Pwllfanog area. The few hours of the ebb we had, fished well for dogs, codling, pout, and few small huss but once the tide turned the fishing got worse and so did the weather, the bad conditions were too much for a couple of the boats so we were down to 3 in the afternoon. 2 of the 3 boats remaining weighed in and the winners on a very testing day were 02b@c with 5 species, 35 points, 06.10.00lb A close 2nd went to Lady m with 5 species, 34 points 06.08.04lb The heaviest fish went to o2b@c with a huss of 03.03.04lb The flatfish pool will roll over to the next match. Roll on the summer if we get one!
