Boat match number 2 (22/05/11)

Boat match number 2 was fished in the straits yesterday due to high winds for the 2nd match in a row! We had a quick look at what the conditions were like in moel-y-don but it was a little bit to rough to launch there so we headed to menai bridge and had nice easy launch. Conditions were pretty good in the middle of the straits but at each end it was rougher.

Only 2 boats turned up due to 1 reason or another (Bass hunter and Lady m) i fished on Bass hunter today for a change because Adam was on holiday and Kev was working.
The fishing was better than the 1st match but it still wasn't great. Lady m took 1st place with 7 species (Dog,Corkwing,Goldsinney,Bass,Tompot,Cod,Scorpion.) And they also had the heaviest fish with a dog of 2.0.12.
Bass Hunter brought 4 species back to the scales (Ballan,Dog,Tompot,Goldsinney)

Hopefully we'll have better weather for the next match.

great day out Dan allthough the fishing wasnt up to much,great to have you on the boat with us,now you know what the crew on Basshunter have to put up with,I enjoyed the day as always,I was going to say pull your finger out next time but Iwont,hope its right for the next one.

Match 2 22nd May 2011.
Menai Strait

Due to exceptionally high south westerley winds only two boats turned up for this match, which w2as not surprising.
However the two boats decided to go ahead and it was the straits again.
In first place was Lady M with seven species and second and last place went to Basshunter with four species. No flats again so a treble rollover for the flattie pool.
