23 members fished the Dee estuary rover yesterday, despite the strong North Westerly 18 chose to brave the conditions at Talacre, of the 5 who fished at Mostyn, only one weighed in.
There were a lot more undersized fish than usual at Talacre, but everyone found at least a few to weigh.
Top bag on the day went to Jordan Roberts, with 9 dabs and 9 whiting for a weight of 3.97 kgs., that`s a second and a win in his first 2 club matches! Wayne McGilloway took 2nd place with 11 dabs and 4 whiting for 2.93, John Jones 3rd with 12 dabs and one whiting for 2.81, and the last of the cash went to Alan Jones with 9 dabs and 3 whiting for 2.64. I was next with 2.36, and Bill McLintock 6th with 2.09.
Adam Davies took the heaviest fish prize with a whiting of 0.39 kgs, and Jack Peters won the junior prize with 0.65, this included a specimen 5 bearded rockling of 0-07-08 lbs, top team were Jordan and Dave Roberts with 66 points.
