20 members fished this one, on the hottest day of the summer so far
All 20 weighed in, with a bag limit of 3 of each species it was the bigger wrasse and the bonus codling that sorted out the winners.
John Major included the best codling of 2-15-04 in his winning bag of 4.88 kgs.
which was accompanied by 3 wrasse and 3 dogs.
John Jones had 3 dogs, 2 ballans, 2 codling and a corkwing for 4.83 in 2nd, ( less than 2 ounces behind !) Mike Peters was 3rd with 3 wrasse and 3 dogs for 4.31 kgs. Colin Elmer took 4th place with 3 dogs, 2 ballans, and 2 corkwing, plus the heaviest fish prize for this specimen of 1.70 kgs. ( 3-12-04 )
I managed 5th place with 3.85, and Gary Bates was 6th with 3.69.
This match also included the final of the K.O. cup, with Mike Peters beating Gary Bates by 0.62 kgs,
Top team were Norman and myself with 62 points and Stephen Higginson was top junior with 3 dogs for 1.89.
