Last night`s club waters rover was as grim as any of the preceding matches this year, with 18 members fishing, but only 9 weighing in.
8 of us stayed at Tan lan, with just a few rockling and sea scorpions being caught, along with loads of pin whiting ( you could have got 3 in a treble twenty if the noses had been sharper!)
4 went to Flint with fresh crab and only one eel was caught there.
Dave Elmer braved the climb down the Orme, and came back the winner with 2 dogs, 2 rockling and a sea scorpion for 1.45 kgs.
Bob Roberts took 2nd and the heaviest fish with a dog from North Shore of 0.90 kgs.
3rd was Gary Jones with 4 rockling for 0.31 kgs. also from North Shore.
Paul Jones was 4th with 2 rockling and 2 sea scorpions from Tan-lan, Barry Haigh 5th with an eel from Flint, and Stephen Higginson took 6th and the junior prize with 2 rockling from Tan-lan.
Top team were Gary and Bob with 69 points, and despite both blanking, Norman and myself took the team prize and I stayed top to win the league, with Dave Elmer just 5 points behind, and Gary Jones 3 behind him in 3rd.
