A few of us had the pier booked again last night.
I decided to fish off the side near the bar, casting into the rough stuff hoping for a specimen Shore Rockling.
There were plenty of fish again, although a lot fewer Doggies than a fortnight ago.
We had loads of Whiting and small Codling with a few Poor Cod and Sea Scorpions for a bit of variety.
Not a bad night but the South Easterly wind was chilly and we had all packed in by midnight.
I stopped to speak to a couple of pleasure anglers on North Shore ahead of tonights open and they had been catching pretty much the same, lots of small Whiting and Codling with the occasional Doggie.
Still no specimen Shore Rockling but weve got another 2 dates booked before January so fingers crossed.
