8 of us hired the pier on Friday night and after a week of wondering whether it would be cancelled or not due to the weather, i got up to be greeted with blue skies and no wind.
Terry and i got to the pier about 7.30pm to fish from low up although those who had been there from 6 had caught Whiting and Dogs.
Fishing was good with bites every cast for those casting off the end.
Rods dropped over the side with size 6`s struggled.
Between us we accounted for 8 species. Dogs, Whiting, Codling ( up to 8 ounces ), Pollack, a couple of small Huss, Pouting, Poor Cod and a solitary Dab.
Fairziff had a bait trap which contained Shore Rockling, 5 Bearded Rockling and a Long Spined Sea Scorpion when brought up, along with dozens of Velvet swimmers.
All in all a good night with plenty of fish although nothing special. The Conger rigs dropped straight down just picked up Doggies and no specimens or new species for either of us.
Back again in a fortnight so hopefully there will be a few better fish then.
