Boat Fur & Feather

The boat F & F will be held on Sunday December 20th, if the weather is good we will launch at Colwyn Bay pier slipway for a short match probably fishing till around 13-00hrs then back on the beach for the weigh-in, the Fur & feather is not a team event like the league matches so each angler has to keep their best roundfish and their best flatfish ( only 2 fish per person at the scales ) then the best combined weight of the two fish dictates your position in the competition, a simple fair format that in my opinion gives everyone an equal chance of winning regardless of angling ability.
In the event of windy weather we will use the back up venue of the Menai Straits so i advise the skippers to ring me the night before the match to check on the weather conditions.
After the weigh-in we will meet at the clubhouse in Rhos at around 16-00hrs for the presentation of the prizes ( allowing time for taking the boats home and a quick clean up ) there will be hot refreshments at the clubhouse and prizes for all participents,Christmas hampers will be awarded to the top three anglers, traddition dictates that a few beverages are consumed after the presentation ( optional ) but you can't go against tradition can you drunken
