I was up with the lark again this morning, so decided after yesterdays blank at Splash Point, that i would attone at Pensarn over low water.
I was on the beach and pumping a big fat Lugworm ready for my first cast by 7am.
There were thousands of casts on the beach.
It wasnt long before i had enough for the session and any more trips during my week off.
I waded out to the far bank to cast, finding all the leaks in my chesties in the process.
Low came and went without a touch and the gulley in front of me started filling. I waded across for one more cast, which turned out to be the only cast that would produce fish.
After having to stop several times on the retrieve to pick weed out of my tip ring, a double header of Whiting hit the beach.
I spent a further hour dropping big baits into the gulley but with the wind strengthening, the rain becoming more persistant and my enjoyment levels at rock bottom, i gave up at 10am and went home.
