| Yesterday`s species hunt on the breakwater only managed to attract 5 members, but we had a great day in the sunshine with 12 species between us, including this 12 lb. 3 oz. conger for Dave Jones, just a quarter of an hour after losing a bigger one as he tried to ease it up the steps. Norman and myself had 6 species each, with my length count coming out on top by 35 cms. mine were, red gurnard, coalfish, pollack, ballan, corkwing, and tompot. Norman`s were ballan, corkwing, goldsinney, pollack, sea scorpion, and shanny. Mike Peters had 5, and Dave Jones 4, Dave Lunt struggled a bit and didn`t hand his card in, but he had the biggest wrasse at 36 cms. | |
