16 members fished the club waters rover yesterday, despite the Southerly gale 14 of us chose to fish Talacre, although the conditions were atrocious,
the fish still obliged, with everyone catching dabs and whiting in various numbers.
Bill Mclintock took the match with 11 dabs and 9 good whiting for a weight of 4.62 kgs., these were a few of his at 32 to 34 cms. each,
Dave Lunt was 2nd with18 dabs and 6 whiting for 4.43 kgs., this was one of his dabs, a specimen just over 12 ounces,
Third place went to Alan Tinman with 17 dabs and 4 whiting for 3.84, 4th place was a tie between Dave Radcliffe and myself on 3.59 kgs., and Paul Jones was 6th with 3.21.
Barry Haigh had the heaviest fish, a flounder of 0.47 kgs. from Prestatyn, and Rees Havill took the junior prize with 0.28. top team were Alan Tinman and Dave Radcliffe with 69 points.
