just 15 members for this one, on a very pleasant evening, with hardly a breath of wind, almost like Spring.
As usual it was rockling that were the target species, but a few whiting had been reported from here during the week, so some of us tried for them and maybe an elusive doggie.
By the end it was clear that the of the few whiting caught only one made it in-size, but a few had 26 cm ones, and a couple of shy biting dogs had dropped off on the retrieve.
Darren Jones once again cemented his lead in the league with another win, 4 rockling and a dab for 0.59 kgs, Barry Haigh was 2nd with 6 smaller rockling for 0.56, I managed 3rd place with 3 rockling and a sea scorpion for 0.53, and Norman was 4th with 3 for 0.39. 5th place went to Golden Card holder Alan Jones, with 2 and a sea scorpion for 0.32, and Dave Jones was 6th with 2 for 0.28. 12 of the 15 weighed in, the heaviest fish prize was shared between Darren`s dab and my best rockling, both weighing 0.20 kgs ( 07-00 ozs ), there were a few specimen sized rockling weighed, plus an exceptional long spined sea scorpion of 06-00 ozs. for Paul Jones.
Top team were Darren and Alan with 70 points, and the golden card rolls over to the next match standing at £388.
