Todays scheduled boat match was cancelled due to only 2 boats being able to attend, so Lady M and O2b@c launched from Colwyn Bay for the first time this year, and headed to the rough ground off Tan Lan headland to hunt for a Bass or 2.

We fished for a couple of hours and only managed to pick up one small Bass ourselves, while the lads on Lady M had a schoolie and lost a decent Bass on the way in.

Lady M, shame the zooms bust on the camera Embarassed

The Dogs were a problem here, and the Bass were scarce so we headed to the river mouth at Llandulas, where I picked up a small Bass and 2 Dogs in the first 3 casts.

Dan and Adam both had smoothies and we were getting good knocks which just went once and then buggered off, which was a bit frustrating!

As the wind was getting up, we decided to ditch the idea of heading out to the windfarm, and so we stayed put and used the remainder of the crab and fresh lug we had.

This paid off for Adam, as he was to land the next fish which was this beaut which was weighed at 5lb exactly.

We all missed a few more bites each before running out of bait and deciding to call it a day at 3pm.

A nice Mr Whippy on Colwyn Bay prom and home in time for tea. Happy Days!!!
