Low water on a big tide, and flat calm conditions made it hard work for all last night.
With a good turnout of 21 members we covered a good length of the beach, but with so many small whiting and crabs stripping the hooks it was a struggle to find in-size fish.
After being pushed back up the beach at a brisk pace by 3 hours of the flood, it was a relief to get to the end of it!
11 managed to find at least 1 fish in size, but Mitch ran away with it again after winning at Tan-Lan and Penmaenmawr, this one made it a hatrick.
The results were,
1st Dave Mitchell, with 3 dogs, a whiting and a dab for 3.21 kgs. 2nd Paul Jones, with one dog of 0.84, 3rd Barry Haigh, with a codling of 0.61, 4th Dave Jones with a dog of 0.57, 5th Gary Bates with 2 whiting and a pouting for 0.53, and 6th myself with 2 whiting for 0.33.
Jordan Davies took the junior prize with what must have been the smallest fish I`ve weighed this year, a weever of 0.01, and top team were Mitch and Gary with 71 points. The heaviest fish was one of Mitch`s dogs at 0.88 kgs.
