Colwyn Bay 30/05/11 Empty
PostSubject: Colwyn Bay 30/05/11   Colwyn Bay 30/05/11 Empty31st May 2011, 2:56 pm

Me and the bro had a good day out of the Bay yesterday. The forecast was touch and go but we bit the bullet and got out.
We anchored up just off the wind farm and stayed there all day because fishing was that good.
We had 8 different species out there, cod,whiting,dabs,100's of dogs, tub gurnard, macky, loads of huss and a lost tope which was the highlight of the day,i got it to the side of the boat but we soon realised the net was to small for the fish and on the 2nd attempt it spat the hook and waved us goodbye! I blame adam's netting skills!!
The macky were still a bit thin on the ground, we were picking the odd 1 up every now and again but on the way back we stopped in the middle of a load of diving gannets and had a few there.
Biggest fish of the day Adams Huss
