| The time is fast approaching to choose venues, dates etc. for the 2009 Winter league. We usually have a meeting in the clubhouse on a Thursday evening, but generally it is very poorly attended. If anyone would like to make a suggestion for an alternative day of the week, or venue, then it will be considered. It needs to be early in November so the dates can be published in the next issue of Tight Lines. We could always use this forum to register any suggestions for possible venues for matches, or any proposals for rule changes etc. It`s your league so let`s hear from you! | |

Thought we were looking for somewhere to have the meeting, not where to have the matches? - Wando then wrote:

| Would more people attend the meeting if we held it in the Prestatyn area? That way we may get some of the Flint lads turning up?
Weekend anyone, or is a weeknight better, with less travelling involved?
Bear in mind we have only got 5 dates to pick, so it wont take long.
It would be better to do it in person, and thrash out the details, rather than try and do it on here.
Or will it just be Terry, Norman, Jan and me, same as usual??? Dont be suprised if we have 5 highwater matches at Splash Point then will you? | |

| How about having it at the next match at Llandudno in the hut, hold it an hour befor the walkoff at least that way the numbers will be there. So if anybody has suggestions they must do there home work befor, and then they would have an input not just bellyache later. So I think if we decide thats the format they will have 4 weeks to go away and THINK not just rely on a few people. All in favour say I at the Pen match. | |

| Following a straw poll at last night`s match at Pen. It has been decided that we`ll have a quick meeting before the North Shore match on Nov. 1st to sort out the venues, dates etc. for the winter league. If any of you who won`t be there would like to make any suggestions over the next fortnight please put them on the forum, or e-mail or p.m. them to me. otherwise please turn up a bit earlier for the match at north shore ( about 6 p.m. ) Congratulations to Mitch for last night`s win, 21.91 kgs. in one match is taking the p*ss a bit isn`t it | |

| I wont be fishing tommorow night so heres a few suggestions. Colwyn Bay (Rhos point - headland) Pensarn over low Talacre or dee rover? River Conwy rover (Start at Hw and fish the ebb) Not in Feb Club waters rover (march time) I dont see any point fishing perch rock again for dabs and whiting when Talacra's on the door step.Waste of petrol and all that.

| I wont be there either. ( Listen for the ) I suggest 5 easy venues, preferably over high water, where there are likely to be fish. This might encourage a few more people to fish, and they may then stick around for the summer league so the numbers dont swindle down to single figures like they have this year! Junior friendly times would be nice as well! Flint / Connahs Quay ( rover ) Big Flounders and Whiting in January Pensarn / North Shore. While the Whiting are still around, before the end of January Colwyn Bay prom. February or March for Whiting, Dogs and Slugs. Conwy estuary. Codling, Slugs and early Flounders. Club waters rover. Who knows??? Alas Brother Dan, without us being there at the meeting, i doubt anyone will give a second thought to any of these suggestions, so im not holding my breath! | |
