| Alright then, there seem's to be some intrest out there. So I suggest Talacra March the 9th, 14.00 untill when ever or untill wev'e lost all the lead. The venue will give us room depending on which way the wind is blowing, I will sort the markers out and so on. At that time and day, after you have beaten your personl best distance, you could stroll down to the water and have a couple of hours fishing, as this is the next possible venue. PS. Sam another time and place, you would be correct. | |

| Guess i was wrong then Deffo for the casting bit, probably not for the fishing, as overtime is calling that night. | |

| I`ll have a go at that, I bet I struggle to beat 100 yards with a baited rig, but then I`m getting old now. | |

| I think I`ll be chickening out too, it`s bad enough working out in the weather, never mind going out in it to `enjoy myself` | |

| Im giving it a miss, but because im working until 6 in the morning and then back in at 6 tomorrow night, so ive got to sleep Ive just spoke to Sandeel slinger, who is still going, so there will be someone there if anyone is going. Im sure if another date was arranged when the weather is better and maybe if we could get an instructor or 2 there, loads would be up for it. Ill get the wheels in motion. Are we happy with Talacre, or does anyone have a spare field | |

| Subject: CASTS WITH BAIT 10th March 2008, 11:04 pm | |
| MANY YEARS AGO, USED TO RUN AN ODD CASTING EVENT FOR THE COLWYN BAY/NORTH WALES MATCH ANGLERS. WE HAD AT AN ODD EVENT A CASTING WITH BAIT EVENT. FOR YOUR TARGET THE LIKES OF ALAN PRICE DID 180-200, JIMMY PRICE 150-180, DAVE MORRELL 160-190 SELF BEST WAS 226 WITH CLIPPED RUBBER EEL IN VERY GOOD CONDITIONS, WOULD SUGGEST THAT WITH SINGLE CLIPPED DOWN BAIT KNOCKS SOME 30-70 YDS OFF A CAST MADE WITH JUST THE LEAD. WITH THREE HOOKS UNCLIPPED 80 YDS PLUS CAN BE LOST. HAPPY LEAD SLINGING. NIGEL | |

| Hi you bunch of wimps, and I thought us danglers were a hard bunch!!!!!!.
Got down at Talacre as planned, tho' I was 15 min late due to all the happy shoppers at the market!, with my 5 ounces in hand ready to play with my tackle in the sand. But mono casting can be a bit tedious like alot of other things you do on your own!!!!. I troted over the bank and there you all were "GONE" I can only appologise for being late. Next time I will have to camp out to beat the traffic. So now I will have to go and punish myself with some stinging weeds untill it bleeds. So So sorry. Next time maybe.
PS. just short of my PB. | |
