Just 13 members for this first one, including two returning members from the distant past, welcome back Alan Tinman and Dave Radcliffe. It was a bit of an experiment for most of us, as we`re used to fishing over high water here, but it doesn`t seem to matter that much, as the undersize whiting and codling were still there in numbers.
The top bag went to Alan Tinman with 8 whiting, 3 dabs and a rockling for 2.43 kgs. ( you never lose it Alan. ) John Jones was an unlucky golden card holder, just 10 grammes behind on 2.42, with 6 good whiting and 2 dabs, 3rd was Barry Haigh with 8 whiting, a dab and a rockling for 2.06, and the last of the cash went to Dave Lunt on 1.76 with his 7 whiting and 2 dabs.
Bill McLintock was 5th on 1.46, and Mike Peters 6th on 1.24. the heaviest fish prize went to Mark Hill with a specimen dab of 0.46 ( 1-00-04 lbs.), just beating one of J.J.`s whiting of 0.45. Rees Havill took the junior prize with a whiting of 0.18.
Top team were Barry Haigh and Bill McLintock with 68 points.
