15 members including 2 juniors took part in this match, with 2 hours of the ebb and 2 of the flood it was a bit of a gamble where to try, we all had our own ideas and a few coins were tossed.
Dave Elmer followed the mountain goats down the Great Orme and came back with 21 dogs, a wrasse and a dab, to thoroughly kick all our ##rses. With the dogfish rule in force the 2 heaviest dogs were weighed in and the rest counted as 1kg., this gave him a winning weight of 21.66 kgs.
Mike Peters deserved better than 2nd with these from Llandulas,

A smoothound and a bass for 4.77 kgs. the smoothy took the heaviest fish prize at 3.64 kgs.
( 7-15-08 lbs.)
Dave Mitchell took 3rd with a bag of 15 dabs and 4 weevers from Talacre for 2.47, 4th place went to myself ( Terry Jones ) with 20 little eels and a flounder from Benarth for 2.07, Gary Bates was 5th with 1.49 from Talacre, and Barry Haigh 6th with 1.14 also from Talacre.
Stephen Higginson took the junior prize with 0.71, and top team were Mitch and Gary with 68 points.

Hi Craig,

You might have a chance of Bass on Lug if its fresh and youre fishing over sand. If over rough ground i would fish crab. Cant see you getting much but Dogs on Mackeral im afraid.

A mile may be a bit far seeing as the fish above were caught off the shore. Wink
