PostSubject: Fur and Feather results   14th December 2008, 7:51 pm

25 members fished last night, with a light offshore breeze and a calm sea to wade into, it wasn`t too unpleasant at all ! The usual suspects were there in force, 26 cm. whiting in twos and threes, I`m sure if we raised the limit to 30 we`d catch them at 29 all night! Anyway all 25 weighed in, with the better bags coming from the Tan-lan headland area, here`s the full result.

1 Dan Davies 4.75 kgs. ( 20 whiting )
2 Gwynnie Andrews 3.10 kgs.
3 Dave Mitchell 3.07
4 Adam Davies 3.04
5 Bill McLintock 2.98
6 Bob Roberts 2.91
7 Gary McLeod 2.59
8 Terry Jones 2.39
9 Dave Lunt 2.22
10 Gary Jones 2.11
11 Norman Dorling 1.98
12 Kev Jones 1.77
13 Chris Gibbons 1.61
14 John Jones 1.37
15 Nigel Ford 1.33
16 Gary Bates 1.27
17 Sue Price 1.24
18 Mike Peters 1.22
= John Major 1.22
20 Peter Price 1.21
21 Barry Haigh 1.13
22 Wayne McGilloway 0.82
23 Tron Marshall 0.55
24 Janet Dorling 0.48
25 John Davies 0.42/

Heaviest round fish Adam Davies whiting 0.42 kgs.
Heaviest flat fish Chris Gibbons and John Jones, both dabs 0.34 kgs.
Thanks to everyone who supported the match and raffle, and particularly to Kev, who made a splendid effort selling the tickets. Also many thanks to all who contributed to the whip-round for my xmas beer money
lol!

Thanks, i do try! Twisted Evil

In all fairness, Wayne and Chris took a gamble that could have worked well, but unfortunately didnt on this occasion.

With the way the beach changes every year, i think we all have a better idea of where to fish in the Winter league match!
